Sun, Water, and Fun!

Enjoy a “me vacation”, close to home and tucked nicely into one morning.

Sun, Water, and Fun!

Wednesday, July 25th from 9 am to 12 pm

Imagine yourself

  • Gliding through calm water enjoying the sounds and sights of nature
  • Moving your body with gentle Qigong
  • Eating a tasty lunch as you talk and laugh with other women

Fun, relaxing, regenerating, you time.  And it all fits nicely into a morning right here in Westminster at Standley Lake.  You deserve it!

Start the morning boating out to “Bird Island” where the great blue herons and cormorants nest.  (You can bring your own non motorized boat or rent one at the lake.)

  • Float calmly through the lily pads
  • Feel the sense of peace that water brings
  • Allow nature to revive your senses

Follow up the boating with the gentle movements of Qigong to loosen up your muscles and release any lingering stress.

A fabulous lunch completes the morning and gives you more time to enjoy the fun bunch of women you spent the morning with.  (Specify dietary considerations when you register.  Vegetarian and gluten free options are available with advance notice.  Other requests will be handled as possible.)

This is a low intensity exercise activity.  You do need to be able to enter and exit a sit-on-top kayak or canoe, and gently “row your boat” using your upper body strength.  Life jackets are required to be worn by everyone on the lake and are provided with rental boats.

Park entry fee and boat rental or daily paddle pass to use your boat is not included in the registration price.  Click here for Standley Lake entry fee or boating information.

Waivers and more information will be sent once you register.

Location: Standley Lake Regional Park
