Warning – it’s Contagious

Laughter – one of the few things that is contagious and also good for you!  Let’s do it!

Remember this song from Mary Poppins?

Did you know that Bloom County is back?  My Facebook laugh meter went off the charts with this post:

Laughing has great benefits for you!

  • Moves more oxygen to your body, stimulating heart, lungs, and muscles
  • Reduces your stress level
  • Aids your immunity
  • Eases pain
  • Helps you deal with difficult situations

Laughing is a bonding experience!  Growing up we did lots of laughing – sometimes to the point of tears – at family gatherings as three generations played pinochle.  Just thinking about it makes me smile and want to get the cards out!

It’s also hard to beat the laughter that happens when ladies get together!  Belly laughs are just a word away.   Call a few friends and go out to dinner or even better, head out of town for the weekend.

Have you tried laughter yoga?   It is done in a group, with intentional laughing exercises that lead to spontaneous laughter.  Fun and good for you!  Laugh along with this video.

Laughter rocks – join in and pass it on!  #LaughterRocks

p.s. If you have a good joke, please spread the laughter!  Share it in the comments or on Facebook.

Inviting you to enjoy laughter yoga and play that not only lightens your day but weaves in mindfulness and connection to your authentic self.  Sound fun?
